The Full Story
Frank King began life as a fourth-generation American farmer, which formed his deep connection with nature. Throughout his youth, he raised and cared for reindeer, ostrich, llamas, bison, and a variety of cattle breeds, including longhorns.
Unfortunately, his early life was plagued with frequent illness. At one point, medical doctors thought he might have leukemia, but their theories and advice did not lead to answers. Out of desperation, his mother took him to a natural practitioner.
This unconventional doctor quickly determined that Frank had food allergies and he made recommendations to change Frank’s diet. Soon, Frank was strong and playing sports with his friends. This was his first experience with natural healing.
Later in his youth, Frank attended a very tough high school, so he took up boxing to defend himself. During a boxing practice, he felt an explosion of pain in one shoulder. He could barely lift his arm, so his mother took him to a chiropractor. Afterward, his shoulder felt so good he wanted to start boxing again. While this was his first experience with chiropractic, it reminded him of the last time an unconventional healing method saved the day.
As a result, he decided to attended Palmer summer school in 1976 and Life Chiropractic College (now called Life University) from 1976-1979. This gave him the opportunity to achieve his life passion: helping people regain health using natural methods.
After becoming a doctor of naturopathy and chiropractic, Dr. Frank King founded an integrative health clinic on the border of Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Dr. King was committed to empowering people to take conrol of their own healing. He held group classes and taught everything he could about maintaining health. He developed a “detective” style of discovering hidden causes behind illness and symptoms.
He and his team researched and implemented natural healing methods from around the world. They created new protocols and discovered breakthroughs in natural medicine, specifically the 200-year-old science of homeopathy.
Dr. King and his team developed homeopathic formulas in the least allergenic base possible: pure water. Soon, the demand for their innovative healing formulas grew. Dr. King sought after companies that might be able to manufacture his formulas, but there weren’t any that could produce to hi his unique specifications. In turn, he left his practice in Ohio and relocated to Asheville, North Carolina.
In Asheville, Dr. King continued his farming passion and founded his bison ranch, Carolina Bison, in 1985. In 1989, he opened his new natural medicine company, King Bio.
King Bio’s humble beginnings were in a small building in West Asheville, with just three employees … including Dr. King! As sales increased and more people were helped by his medicine, King Bio grew.
Now, 2014 represents a landmark year for Dr. Frank King and the company, with the celebration of a 25th anniversary, the Healing Revolution Summit event and the release of Dr. King’s first major book, The Healing Revolution: Eight Essentials to Awaken Abundant Life, Naturally.
