How do I take Safecare medicines?
Before the initial dose, depress the pump spray 4–5 times to prime it. Hold the bottle's medically metered pump spray right up to your lips very close to the mouth and spray one dose under your tongue. The adult dose is three complete pump sprays. Doses should be taken orally and held under the tongue for 30 seconds, then swallowed. Holding the formula under the tongue provides faster absorption as well as faster results. For best results, take doses between meals or at least 10 minutes or more away from meals. Allow a minimum of 10 minutes between doses if taking more than one Safecare medicine.
How often do I take Safecare medicines?
Optimal dosages can vary with each individual. For general use, take one dose three times a day. As symptoms improve, you can lessen the dosage to twice and then once a day. As symptoms continue to improve, you can lessen the dosage to a few times a week until you don't need it any longer. See dosage section under "as symptoms pass" and "after symptoms pass."
How long will a bottle of Safecare medicine last?
If 30 days of treatment were necessary, one bottle, taken as 3 adult doses per day, will average out to a 30-day supply. This will vary according to an individual's needs.
Will I get more results if I take more than 3 pump sprays at a time?
No. The key to maximum therapeutic effectiveness is establishing the appropriate frequency of dosage due to the intensity of your symptoms. Taking more than 3 pump sprays at a time will not add additional therapeutic value. What will add therapeutic value is to increase the frequency of dosage. For example, increase dosage from 2 to 3 times a day, to 6 to 8 times a day, or even up to every 10 minutes if needed.
How soon can I expect results?
In a crisis or first aid situation, you might expect results within minutes to hours. In acute cases, Safecare medicines are usually required for a comparatively short period (days to weeks).
